11 months

Firsts: 4th of July, Extended stay away from Mom and Dad, walking with a prop

Milestones: You are getting closer to walking! You are continuing to pull up on everything, walk around using the coffee table, couch, and table bench, and walk pushing an upside-down laundry basket. You also got two more teeth on top, bringing us to 6 total teeth! You wave when someone leaves the room and occasionally say "bye bye." 

Measurements: About 22-23 lbs., 29/30 inches long , size 3 diapers, 12 month clothes.

Like Mommy and Daddy: You are a great sleeper.

Food: You are getting closer and closer to not needing formula. You have fruit and cheerios each morning for breakfast. Sometimes you eat baby food fruit and other times you eat fresh fruit. At lunch you have also been having fruit, veggies, snacks, and occasionally food from Mommy's plate with 4-6 oz. of formula. You eat dinner with us, eating some type of "main course" baby food or whatever we are eating. You also have a jar of veggies. You are getting more and more reluctant to take certain veggies, we are will keep trying! You have between 6-8 oz. of formula at night before you go to bed. You have tried whole milk a few times and really like it. You are also drinking lots of water and water/juice mixture. You can get the sippy cup to your mouth, but are missing the tilt to actually be able to drink it.

Sleep:  You sleep from about 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM every night. You take a morning nap most mornings for between 45min- 2 hours. You take a 2-3 hour nap each afternoon.

Challenges: Your two new top teeth came in at about the same time and it was pretty rough. You were pretty grumpy and were not sleeping as well as you normally do. Since they have come in, you are back to being an angel!

Our Days: You wake up at about 8:00 each morning. You eat breakfast, which is slowly getting quicker, for about 30 min. After breakfast, you have playtime with Mommy and then lay down for your nap. If we have to run errands, you usually fall asleep in the car. You eat lunch, then play for a little bit longer. You nap between 1:30/ 2:00- 4:00/ 4:30. When you wake up, you play for a little bit longer, then eat dinner with me and Daddy. You play a little longer, then cuddle with Daddy before you go to bed at 8:00.

Favorite Moments

Mommy's Favorite: Cuddling with you during the fireworks on the 4th of July. Even though you didn't like them, I love holding you close while I watched them. You even fell asleep!

Daddy's Favorite: Watching you push around the laundry basket.

Holding your favorite toy. By the end of the week we had about 10 of them lying around the house. My favorite was watching you stir your stacking cups with them. EA, you make me laugh all the time.

Emily Ann, I can not believe how quickly this year is going by! In one short month you will be a year old. You are so wonderful. Your daddy and I love you more than you will ever know. We are so grateful to be your Mommy and Daddy!
