My top 5 favorite pins this week

30 easy Bible verses for kids to memorize.
This is a fabulous list of short, to the point verses that would be great to begin teaching EA early. Scripture memory is not a strong point of mine, so it is something I want to start early with my sweet girl so she will be constantly armed with Biblical truths.

#2
Great quote.
I am guilty of this way too often.

#3
Baby scarf picture.
This picture is advertising the hair thing, but is that scarf not to die for? I feel pretty sure EA needs a adorable mustard scarf for fall. And a turquoise door to sit in front of.

#4
Getting tough stains out of baby clothes.
EA did a great job of not staining her clothes for the first 8 months of her life, but that time is coming to an end. Baby food and real food are a ridiculous mess.

Crib picture.
I adore this picture. EA has bumpers on her crib, but I feel like I should take them off before naptime one day. So precious.

Pinspiration

My top 5 favorite pins this week
Warning: Not a lot of depth to these pins, but lots of cute inspiration!

1.
Easy decorative clothespins
I love how fun and easy these adorable clothespins are! Something like this will totally make a show at EA's first bday party!

2.
Cardi/ Cute shirt combo
Such a cute cardi- the color is quite pretty. I also like the neckline around the top of the white shirt. Great fall inspiration.

3.
Pillowcase Romper
EA would look simply adorable in this. I like it just like it is, but wouldn't an orange ribbon be so cute and festive?
25 days until Auburn football (and incidentally until EA turns one. wow.)

4.
100 Christmas Table Decorations
There are some awesome inspiration for Christmas tablescapes on this site. I gotta tell ya- just looking at the picture below makes me seriously want white with green polka dotted material for a tablecloth or runner or placemats or curtains...

5.
Velcro Bags
What wonderful little bags! These are good for a diaper and a small pack of wipes, but would it also be good for small toys or a dry snacks. I could use them to organize toys in the car or make them fit to the size to hold board books. Imagine the possibilities...

31 Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Children.
I love this. I pray for EA all the time, but sometimes I feel like I am repeating myself over and over again. Granted, they are pretty huge things to pray for- salvation, Godliness, her husband, etc- but I love these scripture based references to pray for her to make her more like Jesus. Cause that's what it's all about.

Desk inspiration
Yesterday, on a whim, we played fruit basket turnover with our furniture. We moved a desk into our bedroom, a buffet to our entryway, a bookshelf across a room. And boom- we now have space for people to sit at our table and walk around our table at the same time. We have a place to put our computer in our bedroom. It's glorious.
With the desk now in our bedroom, I want it to be cute AND functional. I really like the setup of this desk (actually, everything about the desk, period.) so it is my decorative inspiration. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

How to Draw on a Chalkboard
Fabulous direction for writing on a chalkboard. I hope they work because I have a new chalkboard and want to make it beautiful, but kind of have bad chalk handwriting. Here's hoping these tips fix all of my chalkboard woahs, because chalkboard markers are stinkin' expensive!
#4-
Multiple picture family collage
There are so many cute pics in this compilation. I just love a good family picture.

Mommy luxuries
This totally cracks me up. Oh how I miss dangly earrings.

Pinspiring Favorites

This week, I am excited to begin a weekly post noting my 5 favorite pins from the week.
I know it has been around for awhile, but I still can't get enough of Pinterest. So many great ideas for our home, for parties, for crafts, for raising EA. Basically it rocks.
With this in mind, I would like to introduce my Pinspiring Favorites for the week-

Awesome quote. We can't make our children be Godly, but we MUST live a Godly life, teach them about God, and live our life showing them that Jesus is real so that they will have no interest in being anything other than Godly.

Children's worship notes graphic organizer.
I think of how many bulletins I littered with doodles- what a productive way to teach children to listen to sermons. The teacher in me loves the fact that we can help this with a graphic organizer.

Washi tape calendar
I really like washi tape. I mean, realllllly like it. But up until this pin I couldn't figure out why I needed it. Now my washi tape crush can actually have a purpose.

Exposed brick wall
As I mentioned a few posts ago, Brian and I recently looked at and purchased some land. We plan to stick around this house for quite a bit longer, but hope to one day build on said land. Everyone says that building is a nightmare for the people hoping to one day live in the house so we are trying to plan ahead to eliminate any of the pain that we can. I want exposed brick somewhere. It's just pretty.

Baby bubble bath pics
As a girl who takes a bath every single day, I think these have to be the cutest pics ever. We just may have to try this.

Added color.

Several weeks ago, I found this idea on Pinterest. My mom does not just have a green thumb... she has a green hand. And not a bit of that rubbed off on me. But I do love a blooming flower.

I loved the bright colors from the post, but knew our house needed something a little more subdued. I used three clay pots and spray painted them black. I used my Cricut to cut out white vinyl circles and add them to the pots. Once I put the soil in the bottom pot, we put a metal rod through all three pots so they wouldn't blow off.
We are enjoying petunias for the spring and summer, but can't wait to add pumpkins in the fall! There is so much potential!
