Take two of my recipe goal was successful! After the Italian disaster (though I figured out the problem and plan to try again), I was very hesitant to try another recipe I hadn't used before. But, I pressed on and had fabulous results! Brian said it was one of the best things I had ever cooked, ate two bowls, then brought some for lunch. Fabulouso!
(From A Taste of SMBC- slightly tweaked)
1 lb. ground chuck, 1 med. onion chopped, 2 large potatoes chopped, 1 can vegetarian vegetable soup, 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 can whole kernel corn (drained), 1 can green beans (drained), 1 can tomato sauce, 1 c. ketchup, salt and pepper to taste.
Brown ground chuck and drain. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Add water to desired consistency (I used about four 8oz. cups.) Cook on stove top for 25 to 30 minutes.
It was the perfect thing for a COLD night!
