The Kehilla, or church we were staying, was in the middle of the city of Beersheba (referred to as Beer Sheva in the previous post :) ). In the Bible, Beersheba was where Abraham made a treaty with Abimelech over a well. They named the city Beersheba because the word means "well of the oath." Once Abimelech retreated the area, Abraham planted a tamarisk tree and called on the name of the Lord. (Genesis 21: 22-34)
So neat that you saw all of these things from the Bible. Can't wait to read more!
