Did I mention that the Kehilla was an open air church? Yup, there were two buildings to the right and left, then a covered roof with poles holding it up. Overall it wasn't so bad. The wind blew through the night and the mattresses were pretty comfortable. But I was lucky- I'm a cat person.
Israel had more cats than I have ever seen in my life. Small cats, large cats, long haired cats, short haired cats, loud cats, quiet cats- you name it, Israel had it. I'm not sure they have seen the campaign to spay and neuter your pet.
